Cowboys at Broncos Score: Live Updates, TV Channel, Live Stream, Game Stats for Saturday’s Season Match

Although the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos were without most of their starters in Saturday’s preseason opener, the No. 2 Denver still had plenty of offensive firepower thanks to quarterback Josh Johnson. Starting in place of Russell Wilson (retired), Johnson threw two touchdown passes in the first half to give Denver a 17-0 halftime lead.

The highlight pass was a 40-yard strike to Brandon Johnson, son of former MLB catcher Charles Johnson, as the receiver connected the pass down the left sideline to get Denver’s offense moving. Johnson then hit Seth Williams for a 1-yard touchdown three plays later to put the Broncos up 7-0.

Johnson found Kendall Hinton on a Rainbow touchdown pass for a 24-yard score, giving Denver a 14–0 lead. He went 16 of 24 for 172 yards and two touchdowns in the first half (120.2 rating).

Cooper Rush started for the Cowboys in place of Doug Prescott (retired). He went 9 of 17 for 70 yards and an interception in the first half, the interception coming on a fourth-down pass in the first quarter. Several Dallas starters were out of the contest (20 in all). Dallas had nine penalties in the first half.

Several camp battles will take center stage in the second half of Saturday’s tilt, so stay tuned to the live blog for all the action!
