After this week’s spectacular failure regarding downgrading of exam results, an issue which has affected poorer areas substantially more than richer areas, the government is expected to make an announcement at 4pm today.

Potential U-Turn

Several government sources are hinting toward a potential u-turn on the downgrading of grades, instead using the teacher’s predictions, rather than an algorithm, others, such as Hull MP Emma Hardy demanding it.

Many are now hoping that the government follows the recent revelation that Northern Ireland will be scrapping the algorithm altogether.
