Hull – Witness Appeal After 3 Year Old Seriously Injured In Collision

A 3 year old has sustained serious injuries after being struck by a van in Hull.

As a woman was pushing a pram across the zebra crossing outside Northpoint Shopping Centre a white van collided with her. The van struck the woman, her three year old daughter, and one year old son.

The incident happened at around 8:30 on Monday morning (15th January). As the group crossed the road they were struck by a white Citroen Berlingo.

Suffering bruising to his head, the one year old has been taken to hospital for observation.

The 3 year old girl was less lucky, and has suffered serious injuries. She has been taken to Leeds General Infirmary where she is undergoing treatment for her injuries. The woman suffered minor injuries.

Witness Appeal

Humberside Police have launched a witness appeal after the incident. The driver of the van stopped at the scene and spoke to officers, who did not arrest him. However Police are still trying to piece together the incident.
