Sponsorship

Hull Marathon have today announced a new sponsorship deal. Eon Visual Media and Brainworks will become headline sponsors of the event for the next three years.

Since the first Hull Marathon back in 2015 the marathon has attracted runners from all around the country. Some runners choose to do the entire marathon, some in costume, and some even run as part of a relay. Some of the runners even break world records!

The news of headline sponsors comes with the new media partnership with BBC Radio Humberside.

Race Director, Lucas Meagor said:

I am delighted to extend our partnership with Eon Visual Media, who have been an integral part of the Hull Marathon over the past 3 years and now extend that as the new joint headline sponsor of The Hull Marathon 2018.

“A spectacle the whole city can be proud of”

When asked about the extended deal, Eon Visual Media Director Matt Dass commented:

We are delighted to be the new joint headline sponsor of The Hull Marathon 2018, alongside our good friends at Brainworks.

Having worked closely with the Marathon team over numerous years filming the event, it is a great pleasure to be able to continue our partnership with the event as a headline sponsor.

Running a Marathon can be a life changing event and brings out the best in human spirit where absolute strangers cheer on absolute strangers.

Following on from the huge success of the City of Culture year in 2017 and seeing how that brought people and communities together, we want to inspire people to take up the challenge, whether that is running a leg of the relay, running the full Marathon or taking part in any of the cultural aspects of the race, we want to help make The Hull Marathon a spectacle the whole City can be proud of.

Brainworks

Paul Spence, founder of Brainworks, added:

We are extremely proud to be one of the headline sponsors of The Hull Marathon 2018, in union with Eon Media. Brainworks have created a range of foods to improve both the brain and the body, a perfect training partner for the physical and mental challenges faced during a marathon.

Hull Marathon fits perfectly with our company ethos, where we strive to reach our potential in all our endeavours. As a local Hull company, where two of our founders have taken part in the race, we have a real affinity to the event and the challenge of completing this brilliantly supported Marathon around our fair city.

Brainworks are honoured to share in the journey, the blood, the sweat, the tears and, above all, sense of achievement that comes from accomplishing such a feat. We hope to support you along that journey with inspiration from where we originated and the products we have, that will help before, during and after the event.

Physical strength will get you to the start line, mental strength will get you to the finish
line.

A Secure Future For The Marathon

This three year deal also helps secure the future of the event. Without having to start looking for sponsors for 2019 the team can focus on this year’s event.

Lucas Meagor, race director for Hull Marathon, went on to add:

A three year package helps us secure the Hull Marathon as it grows as one of the city’s big events and embraces the city’s status as a cultural hub. I look forward to the growth of the Marathon & relays under new headline sponsors Eon Visual Media and Brainworks. Exciting times ahead.

We are excited for the Hull Marathon this September and will be making sure to follow the progress.

Volunteers

Without the hard work of volunteers the Hull Marathon would not be possible. Various roles are available this year, from the course to race HQ.
