East Riding of Yorkshire Council has today announced free Adult Learning courses. Courses are being held at the Adult Learning Centres in Beverley, Bridlington, Cottingham, and Goole.
These courses are available to anyone over the age of 19 who does not currently hold a Level 2 or above in the relevant subject. Courses provided are being funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
Help To Aim Higher
Learners will be helped to achieve basic reading, writing, and maths skills which will help them apply for jobs or study further.
Whether your aim is to get a job, gain confidence, or help your children with their schoolwork, these courses could help.
East Riding Adult Learning Centres offer small class sizes, with expert tutors and mentors. Because of the size of classes you can learn at their own pace and the right level for you.
“Take The First Step”
Sara Arnold, ERYC’s Employment, Education, and Skills Group Manager said:
In just four weeks, local residents could improve key areas of maths and English. Alternatively our 15-week courses will help to achieve nationally-recognised qualifications that will make an individual’s CV stand out when applying for jobs as well as give the confidence to use English and maths at work or in day-to-day life.
There is no time like the present, so take that first step and apply today.
