Hull – Armed Police in Bransholme Standoff

Armed With A Bladed Weapon

Humberside Police were called to Haydock Garth, Bransholme, at around 5:20pm yesterday. They received reports of a man in possession of a bladed weapon in his home. He was also reported to have been behaving in a threatening manner.

The Police arrived at the scene and immediately cordoned off the area for the safety of the public.

Police attempted to negotiate with the blade-wielding man were unsuccessful. Humberside Police then forced entry to the house and arrested the 32 year old.

Young Child

There was a young child within the house. The child was thankfully unharmed and is now with family.

Arrest Made

The 32 year old male was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and domestic related assault. He remains in police custody whilst the Police question him in relation to the incident.
