Saturday 18th of November

Bridlington Town AFC v Staveley Miners Welfare

Bridlington Town AFC
Bridlington Town AFC v Staveley Miners Welfare

After midweek defeat at home against Pontefract Collieries, Bridlington Town will be looking to return to winning ways.

Two defeats on the trot for Town have seen them drop into a mid-table scrap as the season hits the half-way point.

Sixteenth Placed Staveley Miners Welfare come to Bridlington after a string of poor results, including three out of the last four games conceding 4 goals.

Even the most terrible of gamblers wouldn’t put money on this game to finish 0-0.

Be sure to arrive in plenty of time before the game to have a few cheeky drinks (unless you’re driving of course) before the match!

Tickets: £6 Adults £3 Concessions/U16, all available at the gate.

Kick-Off: 3pm (Seasiders Bar open 2pm)

Hall Road Rangers v Athersley Recreation

Coming straight from the defeat against Liversedge on Tuesday, and attendance being at it’s lowest all season, Hall Road Rangers are looking to bag a much-needed 3 points against Athersley Recreation, a team starting to show improved form. After Athersley’s poor start to the season they’re in the relegation scrap, struggling on 19 points, but with only 4 points separating Hall Road and Athersley on 10th place to 19th place the tables could quite easily turn at this stage of the season.

This game is certainly not one to be missed. Sharing a kick-off with the two other matches featured in our weekend guide it’ll be a tough choice to make who to go see!

Kick-Off: 3pm

Tickets: Available at the turnstile

Hull City v Ipswich Town

Hull City v Ipswich Town

If non-league isn’t your thing Hull City face Ipswich Town, with kick-off being the same time as the Bridlington Town AFC match.

Ipswich come into this match as clear favourites after a less-than-spectacular start to the Championship season by Hull City. With a thread-bare squad and the January transfer window seeming an eternity away, Leonid Slutsky’s men face a difficult month and a half until desperately needed reinforcements can, and should, be brought in.

With turbulent times, to say the least, off the pitch, consistent protest of fans against owners that appear to simply not care about the success of the club, these are dark days for Hull. The last time things turned as sour as this the team were locked out of their own ground, back at Boothferry Park (or Fer Ark as it’s more affectionately known, after the falling of several letters from the signage).

Tickets remain on sale for this game and are unlikely to sell out, with lackluster attendances you’d expect a few leagues down.

Kick-Off is at 3pm, but arrive in plenty of time as the turnstiles have been known to cause delays in entry (even with dwindling attendances).

Kick-Off: 3pm

Tickets: £12-24
