Two In

Bridlington Town today announced the signings of two players.

One of the names Town fans will be familiar with is Phil Dobson.

The experienced shot-stopped also worked with manager Curtis Woodhouse at Hull United.

Dobson has been brought into the squad and will be the team’s first-choice goalkeeper moving forward.

Phil Dobson, currently cup-tied, will make way for fellow new signing Adam Nicholson for their match with Tow Law on the 21st.

Curtis Woodhouse, Bridlington Town’s manager, had the following to say about the signings:

Both train tomorrow with the team for the first time. Thank you to Bill Gill and Darren Sunley for their help getting Dobbo over the line. A pleasure to deal with as always.

Two Out

With two players making their way into the Bridlington Town squad, two make their way out.

Benn Lewis is the first of the two players departing. The right back departs the club with immediate effect.

The second player to leave is James Hitchcock.

The departure of Hitchcock was alluded to by Woodhouse a few days prior to the announcement in a post-match interview.

Hitchy was offered the opportunity to stay and fight for his shirt like everybody else but saw himself above that so decided to leave.

Bridlington Town face Maltby Main away on Saturday the 14th.

A big thank you to Bridlingtown Town AFC for letting us use their interviews with Curtis Woodhouse. You can find their announcement of the news here.
