What’s On This Week

What’s On?

One of our new features for Hull.Today will be a weekly feature of What’s On in the coming week.

We will add all the events and activities we can find that are happening in Hull and East Yorkshire over the week, and all through the weekend, to give you plenty of things to do either alone or as a family!

Josh Fell Memorial Football Match and Family Fun Day – Sunday

Our top event for this weekend is on Sunday; the Josh Fell Memorial, Football Match & Fun Fun Day.

We wrote an article about the event not long ago which can be found here. We’re looking forward to this event and will be bringing a large gallery of pictures from the day, and the all-important scoreline and grand total raised when we find out! This annual even has attracted large crowds in the past so make sure you get there in plenty of time to enjoy all that the event has to offer, including tombola, food vans, rides for the kids, and a football match filled with ex Hull City players!

The event is held at the Hornsea Recreational Ground, off Atwick Road. Put HU18 1EE in the Sat Nav and you’ll not be far off!

Shakers @ East Riding Theatre, Beverley – 26th April to 20th May

Shakers is a performance directed by John Godber, a renowned playwright from West Yorkshire.

Carol, Adele, Niki and Mel work in a bar that is worse than hell! Welcome to the 80’s where every town has its Shakers, the oh so trendy cocktail bar where everyone wants to be seen from the check-out girls to the chinless wonders , from the luvvies to the local lads tittering at the thought of a “long slow comfortable screw”. Shakers gives a wickedly funny glimpse of this world as seen through the eyes of the four long suffering waitresses, offering a fascinating view of the reality that lurks behind the plastic palms and the Pina Coladas.

Shakers is running from the 26th of April up until the 20th of May, with tickets from £11.50 to £16.50. With tickets selling quickly, booking very early is advised, as this Friday and Saturday’s performances have just sold out! Limited tickets are available during the week too so get them while you can!

You can find out more about Shakers here or to book tickets follow this link.
