Attempted Robbery in Hornsea

Police are appealing for witnesses of a reported attempted robbery on Atwick Road, Hornsea, around 4:35 on Tuesday the 25th of April.

A 66 year old man driving his red Mitsubishi Animal was stopped by two men, one driving a red Ford Transit with green sides, the other a grey Ford Transit van.

The passenger of the grey Transit stayed in the seat of the van.

It’s alleged that the men got out of their vehicles and demanded the victim’s keys. The victim refused and, after a struggle the perpetrators fled the scenes in their vehicles.


The driver of the Transit is described as a white man in his forties and around 5ft9, bald with short ginger/grey hair, wearing blue jeans and a grey fleece top.

The passenger of the Transit is described as a white man in his fifties, with black cropped hair and bushy eyebrows. He was wearing dirty blue jeans and a black and grey fleece which appeared to have burn marks on it.
