Don’t worry, we’re not going to be attacked by a real-world Audrey II! We mean of course “opening” in the sense that it’s being performed by local Amateur Theatre company HATS. this May on the 11th, 12th, and 13th at the Floral Hall in Hornsea.

After the recent successful performances of Annie by HATS, there’s much excitement about the upcoming performance of Howard Ashman’s Little Shop Of Horrors, a story about a hapless flower shop worker who obtains a mysterious plant that needs feeding human blood to survive.

Based on the successful 1960 film of the same name, which in turn spawned the 1986 version starring Rick Moranis, the musical version has had a 5-year stint Off-Broadway and has achieved even further success in smaller theatres.

With tickets priced at just £7 for adults and £6 for concessions it certainly makes for a great value evening for crowds young and old, even those unfamiliar with the original work.

Tickets can be purchased from Hampson’s Electrical on Newbegin, Hornsea and each show begins at 7:30pm at the Floral Hall in Hornsea. There are refreshments available at the venue during the intermission which are also fairly priced.

Why not make a night of it and bring the family down for a good evening of entertainment! And don’t forget to check the HATS Facebook page for announcements of the next show!
